Chapter 32 Family Matters

at #3 Heritage Trail - home of Estarr (gen 2-knowledge-age 62) and Chandler (fortune-age 60) Platz (last seen in chapter 28)

life is quiet and uneventful. The children, all in high school, are getting good grades. Estarr and Chandler go to work. Chandler goes to play at Bertillis's house when he is supposedly at work. Estarr continues clueless as to his extracurricular activities. Chandler transtions to elder. That was a shock to the old self-image. But Bertillis didn't seem to mind. Or even notice. And he was still able to keep up appearances at home too. He was rather proud that he still didn't need Viagra, though he had gotten some just in case.

at # 11 Legacy Drive
Estarr's children from her first marriage were doing well in their chosen life paths. Jeekobey's sex therapy practice was flourishing and he often had clients from early morning to late evening. He was working hard (working?) and rarely got enough sleep. He was always ready to collapse into bed as soon as he got home. Sometimes he didn't even make it inside the house.

Bethesda's love life blossomed also. She kept acquiring new boyfriends and still continued seeing the old. As long as they didn't start talking marriage. Here she is off to the mall to meet Ratna Sartor for some 'shopping'.

Trying on clothes. Well, well, cousins Laser and Vesta are in the audience. The rest of the family will soon know all about her escapade.

Bethesda does not seem too happy to see Ratna talking to Vesta afterward.

Forest Cormier is another of her boyfriends.

As is Neil Bachman.

All that romancing can have unexpected - and undesired - results. And Bethesda gets them. Looks like the Jitmakusol name will continue to another generation. Well, Estarr will probably be happy about it, even if Bethesda isn't. Bethesda is determined that this complication of her life will not ruin her figure so she works out daily.

at #4 Heritage Trail, home of Lester Genester (gen 2-romance-age 64) continued from chapter 25

Lester is still mayor but has recently made some changes to town policies which have not been popular with some people. Lester receives a visit from his nephew-in-law, Jonathan Ternynck, who lets him know exactly what he thinks of the new policy. Good thing daughter Spring Futa is a police officer. She can protect him. But then Jonathan is a police officer too. Uh oh. Guess the police department didn't like the budget changes.

No new women in Lester's life at the moment though he is always on the lookout for new prospects. But the faithful 10 still keep him busy. Laser and Lucy are enjoying married life but have no plans for a family yet.

Laser is now campaign manager and chief of staff for his father. Lucy gave up her maid job when they married and has taken over running the house. She is not as good a cook as either Lester or Spring but she is great at cleaning and has been teaching herself how to keep everything repaired also. But one day she tackled something that her small expertise couldn't handle. Her friend Marsha Stompel was visiting and luckily her brother-in-law, Alvin Futa, had just arrived home from work.

Alvin couldn't believe what he was seeing.

He worked all day long as an emergency room nurse dealing with all sorts of traumas. Then to arrive home to deal with another tragedy was almost too much. But he rose to the occasion and was able to save Lucy's life for which everyone in the family was extremely grateful.

It was time for transitions again. Little Brooke, Alvin and Spring's daughter, was almost 5 and ready to start kindergarten.

And Spring's son, Leith, was almost 13. So celebrations were in order. Lester invited his sisters to come and celebrate with them. Genesis wasn't able to make it as her team had a big game that day but Estarr, Pendillis and Opalessa all came.

Alvin took Brooke to her cake and held her so she could blow out the candles.

Then everyone cheered as she made her transition.

Now it was Leith's turn and he didn't waste any time. He was eager for new experiences. Especially having a girlfriend. Well, lots of them actually, just like Grandpa Lester. Yes, there is another romance sim in the family.

Later that evening, after the guests had gone and all the excitement died down, the family shared a quiet dinner together. It wasn't often, with their busy schedules, that the whole family could be together like this and they all thoroughly enjoyed it, especially Brooke, who was able to sit at the table with the others for the first time.

Nothing very exciting here, was there? Maybe in the next chapter? We will visit with Lester's other sons and see what they are up too. All three are at the beginning of their adult years, ready to tackle the world. To find out more, stay tuned to All My SimChildren.

Next episode: Lester's Other Sons

Another romance sim! I'm not too fond of them myself, although they do add some drama to the story...

I don't need too much excitement. But I have a feeling that all of those romance sims are going to start causing problems sooner or later. Do you have NL installed? Hehe. Wait until someone gets FURIOUS. ;O)

LOL I love romance sims ...they can really get in some predicaments... Brooke is such a cute toddler.
Love that face of the gal getting shocked too funny.

Leith is very handsome, and I love the pic of what's-her-face getting electrocuted.

Great electrocution picture! And Brooke looked evil as a toddler, I'd like to get a closer look at her as a child, but from what I can see she's pretty cute.
